Facebook fan page Kate Bush News has evidence that the ethereal singer songwriter’s London show will be filmed for a DVD release.
A leaked email sent to fans due to attend the show titled “Before the Dawn” on the 16th and 17th of September apologises that some have had their seats reallocated, due to: “a late decision to film the show for a DVD release”.
The news will be welcome for many Kate fans who were unable to get tickets to the 22 date residency in London – and for those who were priced out of attending.
FCK LDN calculated that an average couple living in the North of England may have to spend £486.80 on tickets, travel, accommodation and food to attend the gig. This works out at over seven days pay on a minimum wage. We called for Kate to take inspiration from her former collaborator and great mate Peter Gabriel, who has filmed previous tour performances for cinema and Blu Ray release.
Kate’s show has been a massive success, attracting almost universal praise from fans and critics alike – and we’re all dead chuffed at FCK LDN that we’ll now get a chance to see the legend in action, even if it is just on our tellies.
